My (all too brief) visit with Narayan was just as I expected, full of juvenile humor and uncontrollable laughter. I’m happy to see that he hasn’t lost a lot of weight during his latest trip to Asia since he normally looks too skinny when he returns. Tomorrow, I get to play “Aunt Jenn” to Cage since my brother and his wife are at a golf tournament my brother is playing in. It’s the Coca-Cola something or other and only 5 amateurs were invited to play for the chance to play on the pro circuit next year. It’s a huge deal for him and regardless of the outcome, he’s really done well!
Ooh, my new principal was announced today (well, the assistant superintendent told me who it is, I don’t know if it’s been announced publicly or not). He seems like an OK guy from what we’ve heard. He’s a bodybuilder and former title winning coach, so maybe he’ll have the right blend of characteristics to whip our school into shape. 
I haven’t commented much on this season of Doctor Who, but I have to admit that some of the eps have been just terrific. I especially like “Blink” and the kooky new Master. If Tennant wasn’t such a loon, I don’t know if I’d find The Master menacing enough, but with both of them running around like demented 8 year olds, I guess it works in a bizarre kind of way. I’m actually dreading the season finale since it means that we’ll have to wait until Christmas for more. I’m sure I’ll just break out the 9th DVD and tide myself over. 
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of two totally different people and I don’t know which I’m more excited about: Narayan or Doctor Who. Hmm. Each has his plus points such as, well, Narayan is *real* and The Doctor doesn’t care if I clean my house for him. Come to think of it, Nar doesn’t care about that either. I guess Nar wins. Ooh, but The Doctor will be here first, so maybe he wins. Geez, it’s a toss up!
I started back on WW today. I’m glad I did, and I was a little sad to learn that I had gained back nearly 12 lbs. of the 35 I lost last time. Then again, it’s probably a miracle I didn’t gain it all back plus some! I have two buddies this time, one at home and one from work, so it should be a pretty easy process (as it was last time). Go me!

Ooh, I almost forgot! There’s a chance I’ll get to see Narayan this weekend. He’s coming back to the USA today and will pass through on his way to his mom’s house. Yay!
My mom and sister-in-law have decided to hold a yard sale. Tomorrow. At my house. Ack! I just finished mowing the lawn while having two and a half heat strokes and getting a couple of things ready to sell. While searching for unwanted items, I found two pairs of kickass jeans that I couldn’t wear in my heavier days (I’ve been on WW again :wink2:). Yay! They’re practically new and not the cheap kind I’ve been wearing, so they feel great. Whoo hoo!
Most of the items I have are old VCR tapes. I’m only selling the tapes I bought, not the ones I taped. I still have all the Buffy eps on tape and it was great being transported back to the time they were made. Oh, and Todd, I really miss you. *sigh* Those were the days…
I’ve also gone blond again. I’ve been blond, but now I’m really blond. Damn you ANTM!
[Edit: Clean up on aisle Nar! I talked to Narayan today! He's back in the country and current prediction puts him here, at my house, late next week. YAY!!!]
So I hear from Ben that he’s going to visit me tomorrow and I’m all *YAY* about that! Narayan is still in Africa (Uganda, for now), but he’s going to come see me in a few weeks on his way to Syracuse and I’m all *YAY* about that, too!
My concern is that I haven’t seen any of my local friends in quite a while, and I’m especially concerned about my girl, Shrader. Once I get to hang out with her and my other local friend, Flo, and go to Dragon*Con with Ben and Jesse, I’ll just have had a pretty great Summer.
