Merlin (the character) has really goofed this time. Never, never trust a little kid with eyes that blue (Damien, anyone?). This show could go on forever with the way they’ve set up the bits and pieces of the legend, and I quite like it this way. Sure, I’d rather have Lancelot stayed around in a featured role, but I like this quick-glimpse formula. Good week.
I’m going to go out on a limb as say that SGA sucked. I watched the first few minutes, the last few minutes and fast-forwarded through the rest. Michael, hostages, blah blah blah. Even though Michael may actually be dead (a couple years too late), I can’t care. Pity, really.
Now that Primeval (which I love, btw) has finished its run and Merlin is wrapping up, Saturdays are going to be terribly boring for a while. Robin Hood isn’t starting anytime soon and I’m dreading the weeks of no new shows to love.
In the last two weeks I managed to live through two school trips unscathed. Score! Ooh, and this morning, I got to have a nice coffee date with my Dad and Jamie. I’m such a sucker for seasonal promotions. I had the Pumpkin Spiced Latte and a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin–and a lot of fun.

I have no logo for my new show. It makes me want to shout, “Where my homies logos at?!?” The RW/RR Challenge: The Island debuts tonight, and as always, I’ll be watching. Even though I won’t know half of the contestants, after this season, they’ll be like old friends to me when I see them on their next challenge. Whoo hoo!
I’ve been croupish for a week and a half now. I’m over it. Well, I’m not over it, I’m over the thought of it. Go away, hack. I have no doubt that if I put the Newports down, it’ll get better faster, so I guess I really can’t complain too much, but still…. Oh, and if I could only remember to NOT BITE MY NAILS, especially at the start of the school year, I probably wouldn’t have caught this mess in the first place. Bah!
College Fair tomorrow…wish me luck! It’ll be a miracle if this thing happens at all.

Though I so did not keep a level head, I may have averted tragedy today; and I did it in true superhero fashion.
The coordinator for the annual county college fair quit. Not “quit as coordinator”, quit the entire state and moved away. Like a dolt, I volunteered to take over, thinking that since the schedule for this year’s fair was set in May, everything is set. WRONG! Something told me to call the facility and confirm that every recruiter from the East Coast (not an exaggeration, no, not at all), would be cleared to set up booths on the 11th. Yeah, he’d never heard of it. In fact, the facility is already booked by another agency that day from 8-4. 
I had to put aside my fear and intimidation and call the big boys at the state level. I proposed moving the venue to our school’s gymnasium and hoped they wouldn’t be too harsh in their reply. They were like, “Dude, no problem, we’ll put the word on the listserv and let it roll.” 
Seriously.
Sometimes, things just work out for you.

Can’t be on here long…Eureka in 20 minutes! Just wanted to say thanks for the grins re: last post. I just had to take a little moment to wallow, but I’m much better now.
Work went surprisingly well today. I hope it holds.

Did NOT see that coming. In Eureka, is anything ever as it seems? I may be wrong, and I’m not spoiled in any way whatsoever, but I think this may be for real. I only think that because the show is small enough to get away with something like this. Then again, it’s also small enough that they can get away with reversing it somehow. I just don’t know what the future holds, but as long as there is a future, I’m there. 
On a much less cool note, I am the world’s biggest sucker. No, I mean it. Once again, I’ve let my sense of responsibility cost me greatly.
