It seems my whole “Look at me!” gift post has really caught on; everyone’s doing it these days. :elf:

Here's the 2007 list )

Doctor Who Christmas Special- I’m going to have to go with, um, bad. Didn’t enjoy it much at all. Kylie Minogue was flat and The Doctor had too many messianic moments, especially coming off the whole last Series ender. Sill looking forward to the new Series, though.

Stargate: Ark of Truth (waaay early) was awesome. It felt like a comfortable extended episode and I will be buying it as soon as it hits the shelves in March/April.

Ben and Jesse are slated to attend my first ever New Year’s Party, and I hope they do indeed make it down. Hobbit, Istar, and I have already begun planning a menu. If the guys can’t make it down, there will be lots of food to go around.

Um, yeah

So after much consideration, I’ve decided to not update on events since the last time I posted. Graduation, schedule, death threats, you’ve heard it all before.

I spent the better part of the week at Canaan Valley with Mrs. Bush. We were at a conference for work and actually had a pretty good time. Before we went, I got to spend a couple of days with Ben, which is always terrific. Since I missed the birthdays of Ben and Karen (Hi, sis!), I decided to continue to be the non-celebratory hostess. Lucky Ben!

I’m bored. I’m seriously bored. I want to have a night out of drinking and acting up, but I have no one to do it with. I guess I could be the sad, lonely chick out alone, but then I’d be bored and pathetic, and that’s just not right.

Damn, I’m bored.

Another Year Something

Thanks for the birthday wishes! This was actually one of the more enjoyable birthdays of recent years. I got my early gifts from Ben and Jesse, super-cool post from Ben on LJ, socks and Borders gift card from Scott and Jamie, and a cool diecast metal AT-AT from Cage. Mrs. Bush (the other counselor at work) got me a caramel pound cake and Mom made my candle cake. The family ate out and had a pleasant time. Hobbit and Istar held a rowdy party last night, and Istar must have hit the hooch a little too much because he kept wanting to get in the fireplace. He’s a little nutty, that one!

I was going to see the MVHS production of Steel Magnolias, but since we have several inches of snow, it’s been postponed. Now I can do that work I had planned on doing yesterday. Ooh, and I still have to finish my assignment for class.
