Oh. Oh no. Just no. The finale was mind-boggling in that awful, how could they(?!) kind of way. Parts of the plot, were good. Martha’s stuff was tremendously better than all the rest, but what they did to The Doctor, oh lord, *shudders* that will be remembered as one of the worst, absolute worst, plotpoints in history. Seriously. We as a human race do not have the technology to make that look good for TV, so don’t try it. *shudders* I do, however, the Jack twist. I had a total WOW! moment there. The Christmas special has already started out on a TOTAL non-canon note, and I’m just not sure about this show anymore. I actually found myself wanting to watch Torchwood(which I never knew was an anagram of Doctor Who until this week…duh!), and that can’t be a good sign. I looped the last two episodes to death, and I don’t even know if I can watch the finale again. Sadness.

Anyway, I’ll be incommunicado for the next few days as I join my family for a little vacation time, so have a great week, everyone!

While talking to a delivery guy, a fly got into the house. I watched Istar jump around like some Cirque du Soleil performer trying to catch it for quite a bit while Hobbit just patiently sat and watched. I guess he got tired of it and left to do other things because a second ago, I heard a small thump, looked over at the door, and saw Hob enjoying her kill. Yes, Hobbit killed it with one swift blow.

God, I love that cat. She is, and always will be, the best, most talented, prettiest, wonderfullest, smartest kitty EVER!

I’m adding a bunch of music to my Zune today. I have all my favorite fanvids on there (well over 150), a few movies (Hello, Hot Fuzz), favorite episodes of SG-1 (It’s Good To Be King, Unending), and a few Doctor Who eps, as well as all my old, tired music. Today, however, I’m adding shiny new music. Yay!! I have Rufus Wainwright, Lifehouse, and Busta Rhymes. With the recent addition of Linkin Park, Loreena McKinnett, and Bone (for my brother), I’d say I have a pretty diverse musical lineup on there.

If only I could get the video for “Lipgloss” encoded in time… *snerk*

Now all I have to do is actually go somewhere so I can enjoy my Zune.

My (all too brief) visit with Narayan was just as I expected, full of juvenile humor and uncontrollable laughter. I’m happy to see that he hasn’t lost a lot of weight during his latest trip to Asia since he normally looks too skinny when he returns. Tomorrow, I get to play “Aunt Jenn” to Cage since my brother and his wife are at a golf tournament my brother is playing in. It’s the Coca-Cola something or other and only 5 amateurs were invited to play for the chance to play on the pro circuit next year. It’s a huge deal for him and regardless of the outcome, he’s really done well!

Ooh, my new principal was announced today (well, the assistant superintendent told me who it is, I don’t know if it’s been announced publicly or not). He seems like an OK guy from what we’ve heard. He’s a bodybuilder and former title winning coach, so maybe he’ll have the right blend of characteristics to whip our school into shape.

I haven’t commented much on this season of Doctor Who, but I have to admit that some of the eps have been just terrific. I especially like “Blink” and the kooky new Master. If Tennant wasn’t such a loon, I don’t know if I’d find The Master menacing enough, but with both of them running around like demented 8 year olds, I guess it works in a bizarre kind of way. I’m actually dreading the season finale since it means that we’ll have to wait until Christmas for more. I’m sure I’ll just break out the 9th DVD and tide myself over.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of two totally different people and I don’t know which I’m more excited about: Narayan or Doctor Who. Hmm. Each has his plus points such as, well, Narayan is *real* and The Doctor doesn’t care if I clean my house for him. Come to think of it, Nar doesn’t care about that either. I guess Nar wins. Ooh, but The Doctor will be here first, so maybe he wins. Geez, it’s a toss up!

I started back on WW today. I’m glad I did, and I was a little sad to learn that I had gained back nearly 12 lbs. of the 35 I lost last time. Then again, it’s probably a miracle I didn’t gain it all back plus some! I have two buddies this time, one at home and one from work, so it should be a pretty easy process (as it was last time). Go me!

Ooh, I almost forgot! There’s a chance I’ll get to see Narayan this weekend. He’s coming back to the USA today and will pass through on his way to his mom’s house. Yay!
