Heroes News!

bscap0116.jpgI promise this isn’t going to turn into a Heroes worship site (ha ha, get it? *ahem*), but the news in Entertainment Weekly is that some dude named Zachary Quinto has been cast as Sylar and that the wonderfully talented Christopher Eccleston (currently #4 on my future husbands list) will be showing up in a “top-secret role”. Wow! I’m glad he’s not Sylar, because I really am a fan of bad guys biting it and now I won’t have to root for the badies. Or will I?!?

According to EW, we’ll see Sylar on November 27 where I believe he will even speak a line. CE isn’t going to appear until January, from previous reports, so unless he’s a part of Sylar (a vastly improved part), I don’t think we’ll have much of an idea who he is until he actually appears. Come on, January!

zune1.jpgI don’t care what the haters say. I’m getting me one of them thar Zunes. It’s the ultimate in narcissistic fun. I can load nearly all of my vids on it and watch them ALL.THE.TIME. Somehow, I think vids by [info]bigbenalpha, [info]di_br, [info]ana_br, and [info]martoufmarty will find themselves on there as well, and enjoy more time on the playlist than my own! Hee!

Here was my conversation with Mom last night:

Me: Hey, did you hear about Zune?

Mom: Um, yes. How could I not?

Me: Yeah, I’m going to get one soon, but not just yet. I’m going to get a Zune, color, black, pretty soon though.

Mom: That sounds good.

Me: Yeah, those Zune, color, black, players seem really nice. I’d like to have one someday.

Mom: something about work

Me: Yeah, those Zune, color, black, players are cool.

Mom: Shut up, already. I get it.

HEE!

torchwood.jpgFor what it’s worth, I thought I’d share my thoughts on the last two Torchwood eps. Last week’s “Cyberwoman” was bad. Really bad. That’s all I have to say about that one. This week brought us “Small Worlds” and I rather enjoyed it. I think the reason I liked it was because it was quite a bit more Who-ian. There was a nice Jack element that’s been lacking in previous episodes and he really allowed us to see more of what makes him compassionate and complex.

The show is still on very thin ice with me (and apparently most of the viewing public), but a few more eps like this one and I might just come around. Don’t forget: Heroes tonight!

I’ve lost my damned mind. I’ve reactivated my eHarmony settings, but not my subscription. There’s absolutely no need for me to pay them money when I’m almost certain that there will be no matches found within a 30 miles radius (which is the farthest I’d go). If they can find a semi-suitable match, I’ll consider reactivating my account. Worst case scenario: I get matched up to some loser I already know. Yeah, I know that using a dating site makes me a loser, too, but even I have standards, low as they may be. The truth is, I don’t even know if I want to meet anyone. I’m certainly not going to put any effort into getting to know someone, and maybe I won’t even respond to any matches, but it would be nice to have someone around occasionally. Or not.

Damn you, Google and your manipulative ways of making me search for exes and finding out that they’re in happy relationships. Damn you to hell.

csi.jpgI’ve been out of the CSI loop for a really long time. I need to know if I can jump back in without being lost. There were always a couple of running plotlines, but nothing a new viewer couldn’t either understand or disregard. I’ve read the Grissom spoilers, but I guess I need to know if there are any new characters I show know about, and if so, what’s their deal?

Anyone?
