Why do people do things they know are bad for them? Like smoking, or overeating, or breaking down and reading a LOT of McShep stories? Ugh. I’m so disappointed with myself, but now I can’t stop.
Seriously, why? Sometimes, Ronon is there and I’m even MORE mad at myself for reading and those are the ones I think I like the best.
Ugh.

You would think that getting a shipment from White Flower Lei would be enough of a great thing, but you’d be wrong. Having purchased the “Bliss” Soy Candle at Dragon*Con, I was confident I would also love the “Bliss” soap, also handmade by Virginia Hey. After experiencing the amazing meditation workshop by Virginia, I also purchased the “Chill” meditation CD. They arrived today with a lovely handwritten note from Virginia that I may just frame. Hee!
The next great thing happened when I realized that I had received not one, but TWO packages.
bigbenalpha and
indiecowboy sure do know how to turn it out. OMG. No one is a bigger fan of Frankenstein that I am, and my guys are just remarkably great at picking out the perfect gifts. Starting in the upper left hand corner, I’ll describe: “Bliss” soap, “Chill” CD, Frankie cookie jar, Frankie “Trick or Treat” socks, handmade, extraordinarily clever card *loves*, and Frankie dish. (Not pictured because it’s already hanging up, is the cutest Frankie glass windchime in the world)! In no way do I deserve such wonderful things, but I just wanted to say to Ben and Jesse that “YOU ROCK!!”

I’ve looked in bargain bins long enough for one of my favorite Halloween movies. I finally bought The Worst Witch from Amazon because no Halloween is complete without Tim Curry camping it up as the most dreamy Dark Lord known to witchkind.
I also found this other promising movie while out running errands with Mom. Mad Monster Party is a Rankin Bass movie featuring the voice of one Mr. Boris Karloff as Baron Von Frankenstein who is holding a special convention of “The Worldwide Organization of Monsters” to discuss his retirement. Phyllis Diller also lends a voice to The Creature’s Bride and some of the other stars include Count Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, and more.
Simply put, I can’t wait to watch these treats!

There’s a new champion in the category of Worst Movie EVER! *drumroll* The Black Dahlia is a huge pile of mess. I finally got around to watching it today, and all I can say is: If you haven’t seen it yet–DON’T. It’s boring, poorly acted, ridiculously scripted, incomprehensibly edited, and horribly scored. Yes, even the music is bad. Even with Scarlett Johansson looking fabulous, there is nothing good I can say about this movie. I wasn’t even happy when it was over because the regret of even watching it had already set in too deeply. Shite!
