Three episodes in and all I can say is, “It’s gonna be a loooong season, y’all.” This show is nowhere near as fun as Doctor Who, not even as fun as eps with Ostrichboy Ten. The allure of Captain Jack Harkness was his boyish naughtiness. In Torchwood, Jack is just dead. There’s no fire in him at all. He’s like a cross between Chris Noth on Law & Order and Tom Cruise–and you know I hate Tom Cruise. I’ll watch because I can, but this show is already dying a painful death to me. I can’t wait for you guys to check it out and tell me if I’m just being narrow-minded or if it’s really crap.
