New Phrase Day
1 Comment // Written on 02/12/06 9:22 PM // MV//For the first time the phrase “took the mickey outta me” came to mind. Every school in the free world is out tomorrow due to snowfall–except mine. The county where I live is covered in snow and has called off school, but the county where I work has only three inches of snow and has decided NOT to call off school. Damn.
I have to admit, the headline that VP Cheney shot someone made me chuckle today. I can’t explain it, but I think it was a combination of the headline and the picture that MSNBC used that did it. Of course I wish the man who was shot a speedy and painfree recovery, but I guess reading Perez has demented me. All I could think of was Perez saying, “Dick Cheney will shoot a bitch!”
