Caught up

Nov 30, 2004

I’m getting caught up in my viewing tonight. I just watched Desperate Housewives, and at 8:00 I’m watching the new SGA. Then if I can stay awake, I’ll watch TAR. Work was pretty much the same (although I didn’t park near anyone else) and it seems like it’s going to be ok.

First day of school

Nov 29, 2004

My first day as a high school guidance counselor was somewhat uneventful. Right off the bat I pissed off one of the very old teachers. Apparently, I parked in her parking space, even though the principal specifically told me there was no assigned parking. I offered to move my car, but the principal forbade me from moving it and actually argued with the teacher until she finally relented. Heh. A few really cool things are that I have a huge office and I’ll be taking my small fridge with me soon. I also have my very own restroom in my office. So cool. Once I get my sleep adjusted, I should be ok

Here’s the deal…

Nov 28, 2004

After another glorious hiatus, I must return to the world of work tomorrow. Since the commute is approx. 85 minutes long, I will have to leave here every day before 6:00am. Therefore, if you don’t see updates, new vids, or much of anything from me, that’s why. Oh, and it’s very cold this weekend. :cold:

Yumm, Humble Pie

Nov 24, 2004

I admit that I never thought I would make the following statement: FireFox rules as a browser. It is, indeed, the latest offering from the Netscape/Mozilla people, but it’s SO.MUCH.MORE. I’ve been testing it for a week now. You download it and immediately notice that you’re browsing much faster than usual. Hey, no pop-ups either! Then you start configuring it with extensions. Oh dear lord, this thing has FTP built in! It’s got Ad-Block! Spell checker? Sure! Download manager that works? No problem. Oh, and don’t forget the themes. Whooo–eeee!

You might ask yourself, “How do I get this marvelous thing?” Lucky for you, I’ve got a FireFox link over at the bottom of the left hand column that will take you exactly where you need to be.

Holiday Cheer

Nov 23, 2004

:bubbly:Since everyone else is getting ready, I’ve decided to go ahead with my Holiday theme. There’s something about The Rat Pack that makes me as giddy as the holidays, so I hope you can get into the swingin’ spirt with me!

Sloooow

Nov 22, 2004

The rest of my weekend didn’t pan out (yeah, yeah, I know ). Anyway, this week is going to boom a bit more. I’m going to help my grandparents today with some home redecorating. Unfortunately they’re in the demolition stage, so Scott and I are going to have to work our tails off. Ben’s coming down on Wednesday to take the place of the lost LOST ep and we’re going to watch the newest SGA eps. Then on Thursday, of course, we eat like savages.
